This Privacy Policy applies to the Platform mironline hereinafter “the platform” and anyone that uses this platform, hereinafter “the user”.
The platform was created to help you practice the English language outside the classroom, and so you could have more and better opportunities to make the most of the service the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo offers. This Privacy Policy was created with the purpose of protecting your personal information. We recommend that you read it carefully in order to know how the platform manages your personal information.
When you sign up for an account, basic personal information such as your name and e-mail address is collected and stored, as well as other contact information (user name and password). This information will be used for the following purposes:
The platform also receives and registers additional information from your devices and browser, including your IP address and cookies in order to improve the service, contact you, carry out studies and analyses, besides giving anonymous reports for internal purposes.
We store your personal information only in safe servers. The mironline team can transfer, store and/or process the data you give us. The mironline team could be responsible for processing your personal data and give customer service.
We will take all the necessary measures to assure that your data is treated safely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We will only store your personal information while we need it to accomplish the purpose of this Privacy Policy or otherwise previously agreed with you.
A cookie is a small amount of data which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile device browser from a website’s server and is stored on your device’s hard drive. You can set your browser to accept or reject the cookies or to receive the notice of its downloading. If you wish to eliminate them from your device, follow your browser instructions to locate the file or directory where they were stored. If you reject all the cookies, some of the characteristics of the service may not be available.
When you run the platform, and according to the progress of its activities, information will be stored in your device. The type of information stored can be user name, the score at the end of each activity and a general statistic according to the progress of the platform. The mironline team will be able to have access to this information. This way, it is possible that when you log in to the platform it welcomes you with your user name, as your data has been stored in a cookie and in local storage files. These will be automatically deleted when you logout the platform.
The platform has implemented encryption methods of data and users’ privileges that are considered sufficient to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of access credentials of each user. However, the user must be aware of the fact that, due to the constant appearance of new viruses and other forms of attack to the browser, it is not possible to guarantee a full protection of such attacks.
It has to be said that we will not disclose personal information to third parties unless there is a violation to our intellectual property or industrial rights or other legal process related to this platform.
The mironline team reserves the right to modify and update this Privacy Policy. The use of the platform and the information therein will depend on the modification and updates made to this Privacy Policy.
Any claim, cause of action or dispute arising out of or relating to the violation of this Privacy Policy, will be submitted to the applicable Mexican laws and the courts located in the city of Pachuca de Soto, Estado de Hidalgo, México.
